The history Bussières's textile (textile industry) begins with the culture and the weaving mill of the hemp with the farmers-weavers.
With the progressive establishment in the XIX-th century of the silk trade of Lyons, the farmers-weavers become silk workers working for the big factories of Lyon.
Homeworkers and workers in factory, they contribute then to the up-market blooming of the silk trade.
Of the spinning mill of the silk in the weaving mill of this one, it is necessary to develop a whole tactile, visual and hearing know-how.

An alive museum on about 600 m2 of the exhibition with 6 different spaces among which a video space.

Opening :
Every day from 15 o'clock till 19 o'clock (except Tuesday). Last visit at 18 o'clock. Visits of groups all year on meeting. Access andicapés by the Impasse Branly.
