Saint-Jorioz :
Of the name of a monk, Saint-Jeore who based a prieuré at about the year 1000 arises the name of the village which knew how to keep(preserve) tracks of its past :

- the vestiges of a Roman way,
- The castle of Villard (XII-th century),
- The castle of Noiret.

On the edges of Annecy's lake, Saint-Jorioz offers a beautiful sample of pleasures all year long, with his(her) sandy beach, his(her) pleasure port, his(her) walks or drives(rides) in the surroundings.

Chapelle-Saint-Maurice : Dominating Leschaux's collar, Chapelle-Blanche pulls(fires) its name of a chapel dedicated in Saint Maurice.

It is in this village that meet waters of Semnoz and the Cliff of the Oxen to give birth to the river of Laudon. The very agricultural municipality knew how to protect its traditional houses.

Entrevernes : The village is situated in the hollow of a valley, between the mountain of Entrevernes and the Taillefer.
From 1760, it(he) becomes autonomous and lives on agriculture, on business of the wood and exploits(runs) the deposit of brown coal discovered(found) in 1794.

Today, entrevernins keeps(guards) the pride of their soil with the ancient(former) hydraulic sawmill and the barns for the facades of branches of alders.
